Guitare artisanale K Guitars KG Proto II Frankensteam

KG PROTO II : FRANKENSTEAM

Handcrafted 7-String Multiscale Guitar

It gave up color to keep only the essentials: tension, edge, and the emptiness between the notes.

The KG Proto II, named Frankensteam, is the second prototype developed by K Guitars. This handcrafted 7-string multiscale electric guitar, designed and built in France, explores a more radical approach to the instrument: modern ergonomics, multiple scale lengths, and a distinctive aesthetic. Its Bubinga neck, European Ash body, and Indian Rosewood fretboard are combined with a design focused on precision and modern tunings.

Frankensteam marks an experimental stage in the development of K Guitars. With its 7-string multiscale configuration and unconventional aesthetic, this second prototype provided an opportunity to explore new approaches to construction and ergonomics that would help shape the evolution of the instruments that followed.

Designed as a one-of-a-kind instrument rather than a production model, Frankensteam reflects the philosophy behind the birth of K Guitars: experiment, build, play, and let each instrument evolve from the one that came before it.
